Hello, Colin MacLeod, Celtic Fiddle Guru here.
Recently, my violin was in for a service with Stringers Music Shop in Edinburgh.
Whilst my instrument was in for a service, I was given a James Hardy violin on loan.
James Hardy was a violin maker who lived in Edinburgh during the 1800s and part of the 1900s.
Watch the video to hear a couple of Scottish fiddle tunes played on violin.
I now have my violin back and have been playing it every day!
Thank you to Stringers Music Shop in Edinburgh for doing a very professional job and to their staff for excellent service.
If you are thinking about getting your musical instrument serviced, now is probably the time to do so whilst music shops are quiet.
This will help their businesses and help you get ready to be match as musicians start to get back together to play a few tunes in person again!
Give me shout if you might like more information about getting match fit again to play in Celtic music sessions!
