Being on a debt free journey is a looooooong one (at least for me) and some months are not going to be as strong as others BUT that’s okay! Most months we are making strong progress to paying off our debt and building our wealth so on these months at are a bit lower it helps cushion things. I started calculating our net worth at the beginning of our journey at the beginning of 2019 so getting to see how much that has increased even with all of the hurdles really keeps me motivated to keep working towards our goals of being debt free and building wealth!

Hi there! I’m Alicia! I’m a PhD student who is trying to get her life and finances together. I’m currently focusing on improving my financial situation by learning how to budget, getting out of debt, and starting to invest. My starting debt was $123,025.20 which included credit card debt, student loan debt, car debt, and medical debt! One of my goals for starting this channel is to reduce the stigma around talking about money! I have found with any taboo topic, if you can talk openly and freely about it, you end up learning so much more about yourself and others – so I want to try and do that with finances! Along with financial videos, I sprinkle in videos about my other interests including health, exercise, well-being and psychology videos because that is what I study and research!
