Keynote Abstract: The principles of quantum mechanics allow us to have a deep and complete understanding of nature. Quantum computing uses these principles to make complex calculations that will enable the simulation of chemical processes, such as battery materials science and carbon capture. With this huge potential, quantum computing can vastly accelerate the race to NetZero.

Keynote Speaker Bio: Dr. Steve Brierley is the founder and CEO of Riverlane, which is building the common Operating System for all quantum computers. He founded the company in 2016 because of his passionate belief that quantum computers are capable of accelerating an era of human progress as significant as the industrial and digital revolutions. Steve has worked in quantum for 20 years and he is an expert advisor to the UK government. He has a PhD in mathematics and has worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Cambridge, amongst other institutions.
