reflectFive … reflective readings of Scripture in five versions … for your devotional and discipleship journey with Jesus
reflectFive can be used for Lectio Divina (Latin for “divine reading”), which is a practice (originating with the Benedictines) of slow, contemplative praying of Scripture, treating it not as a text to be studied, but as the Living Word. The purpose of Lectio Divina is to increasingly offer more of ourselves and our relationships to the Father, and to accept the embrace that God is continuously extending to us in the person of his son, Jesus Christ. Lectio Divina comprises four main movements: read, meditate, pray, and contemplate. Pauses for reflection between Scripture quotations in reflectFive are five seconds in length.
