You may have read about San Francisco reporting a whopping rise in empty homes as more people choose to work remotely from places that don’t have a high cost of living, taxes or risk of virus. Many homes are also going empty in India’s Silicon Valley, Bengaluru as more professionals work remotely, leading to a rise in vacancy rate in its startup hubs such as Koramangala.
Indira Nagar and HSR Layout. landlords in Indiranagar & Koramangala are willing to renegotiate and reduce rentals up to 15% while in HSR Layout it is seen to be anywhere between 10-12%. Chandra R Srikanth finds out more in this special report.
