Same sentiments were echoed by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She tweeted, If people don’t get UI assistance, and if they don’t get a stimulus check, then relief isn’t going to be felt in their lives in a substantive way. If you’re on the brink of eviction or behind on six months of bills, you need that stimulus check. Senate candidate Jon Ossoff who is running for the Georgia seat also came out in support of stimulus checks.
