The lyrics demonstrate that the singer is asking the listener to slow down, drown out the noise of the world, the daily stresses and come up for air which in turn means – releasing all the repressed emotions and feelings.

This trip that the person is on makes him come in contact with all his deep thoughts and feelings that have been repressed for so many years.

The video showcases this in a way where the lift suddenly appears in front of the person and as he enters the lift, it starts to fall, which represents him being lost and not in control of his feelings. The floors are in different colors which represent different emotions. Once the lift lands, he sees a beam of light, which symbolises a sense of clarity, peace, and a new perspective that one finds after a catharsis.
