Cumberland—Victor Michael “Vic” DeMarino, 94, of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Eckhart, MD, on November 10, 1926, he was the son of the late Michael and Pauline (Lease) DeMarino. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Willison) DeMarino; brothers, Francis DeMarino, and Joseph DeMarino and wife, Mary.

Victor was a graduate of Beall High School, class of 1944. Following high school, he was employed by First National Bank in Cumberland where he served as vice president of the commercial loan department. Vic retired after working at the bank for 50 years.

Vic was a member of the Classic Car Club, and Memorial Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to car shows and collecting coins. Vic was a former member of the Maplehurst Country Club where he was a golfer. Professionally, he was a member and former president of the National Bankers Association for the Allegany and Garrett region.

He is survived by his wife of five years, Jean Ellen (DeVault) DeMarino; sister-in-law, Joyce DeMarino. He is also survived by several nieces, and special nephews, Joseph DeMarino, and Woodrow “Woody” Hamilton and wife Debbie; neighbors, Donna and Mike Mock.

Because of health care considerations, there will be no formal visitation. A private funeral service will be conducted, and Vic will be buried in Hillcrest Burial Park.
