The hot housing market continues to surge higher, and investors aren’t helping it slow down. According to recent Redfin data, investors bought a record 18% of homes in the U.S. just this quarter! Prepare your post-Thanksgiving sandwich as Dave Meyer (@thedatadeli) takes you on a delectable data detour through investor homebuying activity. Dave has a few hypotheses as to why investors are going on a buying spree before the end of the year, why they’re choosing specific real estate classes over others, and which areas will see the highest buying activity and appreciation.
Did you buy an investment property in Q3 (July – Sept)? If so, where in the US (or world) did you end up buying? Let us (and other investors) know in the comments!
